Do you remember the furniture gallery in the early 1990s on Level 5 Daimaru @ Melbourne Central. There was a King Studio, when they were small and still making in Australia.

But I distinctly remember seeing the Chaise on the floor, Made by Artifex WA. Also in edition after edition of Vogue Living and House & Garden.

As a student at nearby RMIT, this model gave me vocational hope and aspiration. The Chaise, an Australian design classic!

Constructed in Perth (WA) by the passionate artisans of Artifex Australia, of a frame in sustainably sourced Jarrah (eucalyptus marginata) and structural strength hybrid plywood. Padding: Premium grade polyurethane Joyce foam. Suspension: fully guaranteed Elastabelt webbing.
