Through his strong innovative and technical talents he has created long lasting furniture concepts for the international markets – within home, office and even transportation and health treatment designs. All with his stringent demands on visual design and ergonomics. All ideas have been further developed, constructed and built - from sketches to ready functional models - with his colleagues in SapDesign AS.
Manufactured by VAD, a Norwegian furniture producer that has evolved from hand work traditions on the West coast of Norway five generations ago. When production started in the 1870s, it was based on household items like spinning wheels, looms and many other useful items. Several of these products got prizes for outstanding quality and design. In 1968, Oddmund Vad, changed the focus from hand craft into the modern furniture products.
